To replace a burned-out lamp in the GE 5-ft Candlewood Pine Pre-lit Traditional Flocked Artificial Tree, follow these steps:
1. Grasp the plug and remove it from the receptacle or outlet device. Do not unplug by pulling the cord.
2. Pull the lamp and plastic base straight out of the lampholder.
3. Replace the lamp with only a 3.3 Volt, 0.066 Watt, LED type lamp that is provided with the product. Ensure that the lamp base fits securely in the lampholder.
If the new lamp base does not fit in the lampholder, follow these additional steps:
4. Remove the base of the burned-out lamp by straightening the lamp leads and gently pulling the lamp out.
5. Thread the leads of the new lamp through the holes in the old base, with one lead in each hole.
6. After the lamp is fully inserted into the base, bend each lead up, similar to the other lamps in the light set, so that the leads touch the contacts inside the lampholder.
It is important to note that you should only replace lamps with the 3.3 volt, 0.066 watt spare lamps provided with this product. Using other lamps may pose a risk of fire. This product does not contain lamp shunts, which allow the product to operate if one lamp burns out. Therefore, it is crucial to use the specified spare lamps.
