To secure the FVCO UN3005B Pull Out Tray to your van, it is recommended to use the through bolt method. This method involves drilling all the way through your van's floor and using a 3/8" bolt, washer, through the pull out tray and floor, large fender washer, and nylock nut. It is important to map out your installation location and ensure that you are drilling in a safe place that won't penetrate wires, brake lines, fuel tanks, etc.
If you have a subfloor installed in your van that is 3/4" or thicker, you may be able to xxxx directly into it using #14 screws with washers. However, the through bolt method is much stronger.
Before securing the pull out tray, you will need to extend it fully to reveal the mounting holes located in the base. It is recommended to have someone help you by holding the extended end or propping it up. There are a number of mount hole locations laser cut into the mount base, and it is recommended to use a minimum of 6 fasteners to secure the pull out tray. The most secure method is to place a fastener in each corner and two in the center locations.
It is important to double-check all measurements and fitment to ensure there are no obstructions during the operation of the pull out tray.
Please note that no hardware is included to secure the pull out tray to your van. The appropriate hardware suggestions can be found in the pages that follow the installation guide.
