To install the RICE LAKE OnTrak Truck Scale Data Management Program, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that you have a reliable, high-bandwidth internet connection as the program download has a large file size (2.7 GB).
2. Make sure your computer meets the system requirements: Windows® 10 or newer, 1.5+ GHz processor, 8+ GB of RAM, and 10+ GB of hard drive space.
3. Download the OnTrak program and extract the zip file.
4. Open the OnTrak program folder and launch the OnTrak.Installer.exe file. A security warning popup will appear.
5. Read the Rice Lake Weighing Systems License Agreement. If you agree to the terms, check the box below the agreement.
6. Press "Next" to proceed with the installation.
7. Choose the desired location to install the program and press "Next".
8. If Microsoft® SQL Server is not already installed on your PC, it will be installed during the process. A Database Installer will appear.
9. Confirm the SQL Server Name and select the appropriate options for Remote SQL Server Security and Action.
10. If connecting to a remote SQL server, select the SQL authentication radio button and enter a username and password. Contact your IT department for assistance if needed.
11. If you want to create a new database with sample data, check the box. If using an existing database, select it from the pull-down menu. The default database is RLWS_OnTrak.
12. Press "Next" to proceed with the installation.
13. Once the installation is complete, an Installation Complete popup will appear. If there were any errors during installation, contact Rice Lake Weighing Systems support.
14. Press "Finish" to complete the installation. OnTrak is now successfully installed.
Note: The program initially installs in demo mode. To unlock the full version, you need to purchase a license from Rice Lake Weighing Systems.
To purchase the full version and unlock OnTrak, follow these steps:
1. Call Rice Lake Weighing Systems' sales or tech support at 800-472-6703.
2. Provide them with the sales order number and machine ID number, which is displayed in the program's demo mode.
3. Rice Lake Weighing Systems will provide you with a license file.
4. Place the license file in the installation directory, typically C:\Program Files\Rice Lake Weighing Systems\OnTrak, unless you specified a different location during installation.
5. Reopen the OnTrak program. Once the license file is in the correct location, the full version of OnTrak will be unlocked.
Important: Each PC that runs the program requires its own separate purchased license file.
