To install the Ciro3D 20100 ASR Seat Backrest and Pillion, please follow the steps below:
1. Park your motorcycle on a level surface and turn off the engine. Allow the engine to cool before starting the installation.
2. Remove the existing seat and set it aside. Make sure any wiring is inside the top of the frame and clear of the tabs highlighted in Figure 1.
3. Align the slot under the front of the seat with the front tab mount on the bike (Figure 2). Engage the tab and slide the seat forward onto the tank. Check that the rear mount tabs (Figure 3) are seated over the seat posts (Figure 4).
4. Lift up the rear of the seat and attach the seat post nuts shown in Figure 3. Tighten the nuts using a 5/8" wrench (Figure 5).
5. For the pillion installation, the pillion mounting forks (Figure 6) should push up against the seat post nuts (Figure 7). Place the pillion on the rear fender and center it on the seat. Gently slide the pillion forward until the forks stop against the seat nuts. Secure the pillion in place with the stock rear fender xxxx at the back of the pillion (Figure 8). Note that the thumbscrew shown in the photo is sold separately.
6. To install the backrest, insert the backrest mount bar into the slot in the pillion or seat (if pillion is not installed). Push the backrest down until it snaps into place in either the first notch (if the pillion is installed) or the second notch (if going directly into the seat) (Figure 9, Figure 10).
7. The tilt tension of the backrest can be adjusted by loosening or tightening the upper lock nut, labeled as A in Figure 11.
8. The forward tilt of the backrest can be set by pulling the backrest forward (you may need to slightly loosen the lower lock nut, labeled as B in Figure 11). Set the backrest to the desired position against the lower back and tighten the lock nut to retain the backrest position.
Please note that these instructions are a summary of the installation process. For more detailed instructions and visuals, please refer to the complete installation guide provided by Ciro3D.
