To change the smoke outlet from top outlet to back outlet on the HWAM 3740 burning stove, follow these steps:
1. Remove the external heat shield by lifting it up and removing it from the stove. The heat shield has a cut-out for the flue duct.
2. Remove the rear plate by lifting it and pulling it away from the stove so that it disengages from the guide pins on the bottom plate of the stove. There is a cut-out in the rear plate for the smoke outlet.

6. Remove the flue spigot by removing the three screws. The flue spigot can now be removed from the upward-facing smoke outlet.
7. Install the flue spigot by placing it in front of the smoke outlet on the rear of the stove and securing it with the three screws.
8. Install the cover plate by placing it above the smoke outlet on the top of the stove and securing it with the three screws.
9. Install the top plate of the stove by placing it on the fittings and securing it with the two screws.
