To remove the factory shift xxxx and install the PRL Motorsports Adjustable Shift xxxx , follow these steps:

1. Push down on the shift boot to separate the plastic trim collar from the base of the factory shift xxxx .
2. Use a 14mm wrench to turn the nut at the base of the shifter to the right, while rotating the shift xxxx to the left to loosen them.
3. Once the factory shift xxxx is removed, unthread the nut from the shifter itself. This nut will not be re-used with the PRL Shift xxxx .
4. Use a trim removal tool or lightly grip the edges of the trim surround to remove it. Slowly wiggle the trim surround until it loosens. Each side should pop loose with light force.
5. Do not pull the trim fully upwards or to the side yet. Remove any sensors that are clipped into the center console/trim piece, if applicable.
6. Cut the zip tie holding the factory plastic collar inside the shift boot. This plastic collar will not be re-used with the PRL Shift xxxx .
7. Place the PRL Adjustable Collar onto the factory shifter assembly with the threaded end and o-ring facing upwards.
8. Test the xxxx by threading it onto the collar to ensure that the logo will be facing towards you properly. Rotate the collar to ensure it is straight.
9. Once aligned, hold the collar tightly as you remove the xxxx . Place the set xxxx down the collar and tighten it into place.
10. Remove the shift xxxx , thread the shifter through the hole in the mouth of the shift boot, and align it at the base of the PRL Adjustable Collar.
11. Flip the boot inside out, line up the shift boot, and affix the provided low profile zip tie tightly around the shift boot. Snip off the excess.
12. Once the boot is situated, flip it back to normal and re-install the xxxx . Verify that the xxxx is still facing the correct orientation. Adjust it as needed.
13. If everything is correct and tightened securely, carefully reinstall your trim/center console. Now it's time to drive!
