Sure! Here are the step-by-step instructions for installing the Hills 5 & 7 Line Retracting Clothesline:
1. Select a suitable location for installation, either wall to wall, wall to post, post to wall, or post to post. Ensure the mounting surface is structurally sound.
2. Determine the installation height. The recommended operational height for the line is approximately 50mm above the user's head height.
3. Mounting the Cabinet:
a. For wall to wall or wall to post installation, mark the Cabinet mount centers on the wall at the desired installation height.
b. Drill suitable sized holes on the marked mount-hole centers using a masonry drill bit if mounting to a masonry wall. Use appropriate fasteners and drill bits for other surfaces.
c. Align the Cabinet with the mount-holes and secure the masonry fasteners. Reattach the Cabinet end covers.
4. Mounting the Receiving Bracket:
a. For wall to wall or wall to post installation, mark the mount-hole centers on your pre-determined centerline at the desired height.
b. Drill suitable sized holes on the marked mount-hole centers using a masonry drill bit if mounting to a masonry wall. Use appropriate fasteners and drill bits for other surfaces.
c. Align the Receiving Bracket with the mount holes and secure with masonry fasteners.
5. Operating the Retractable Clothesline:
a. To extend the clothesline, remove the Retracting Bar from the Cabinet by pulling on the two end caps. Hold them firmly and extend towards the Receiving Bracket.
b. Engage the Retracting Bar correctly in the Receiving Bracket.
c. Locate the Locking Lever on the right-hand side of the Cabinet and rotate it clockwise from the unlocked position until it locks in the desired tension position.
d. To stow the clothesline, remove all clothes and washing from the lines. Pull out and unlatch the Locking Lever from its locked position, guide it to the unlocked position, and securely walk the Retracting Bar back to the cabinet.
