To retrofit the MAGNETROL E3 Modulevel onto an existing Modulevel or another manufacturer's chamber, you have a few options depending on the specific configuration. Here are the steps for each scenario:
1. E3 Transmitter Head Onto Existing Electronic Modulevel:
- Remove the old transmitter head from the existing EZ, Smart EZ, ES II, or E3 sensing unit.
- Install the new E3 transmitter head onto the existing enclosing tube.
- Perform user calibration with the E3 head on the old sensing unit.
2. E31 or E32 Head Into Existing Modulevel Chamber:
- If you have a top-mounted E3 Modulevel, it can be mounted into an existing side/side or side/bottom configuration torque tube chamber.
- The unit must be specially modified with a compatible head flange and the stem length adjusted for the torque tube chamber.
- Order the appropriate model (XE31 or XE32) with the torque-tube flange and special stem length.
- Remove the old torque tube top works and displacer from the chamber.
- Mount the new E3 as you would any top-mounted model.
- Perform simple configuration (no calibration required).
3. E31 or E32 Head Into Existing Torque Tube Transmitter Chamber:
- Similar to the previous scenario, a top-mounted E3 Modulevel can be mounted into an existing side/side or side/bottom configuration torque tube chamber.
Please note that the E3 cannot be retrofit onto a Fisher 249C chamber.
