To replace a blown fuse in the GE Lighting 71401N Incandescent Capiz Style Star, follow these steps:
1. Before changing fuses, make sure the set is unplugged.
2. Grasp the plug and remove it from the receptacle or other outlet device. Do not unplug by pulling on the cord.
3. Using a flathead screwdriver, open the fuse cover. Slide open the fuse access cover on top of the attachment plug towards the blades.
4. Carefully remove the blown fuse.
5. Replace the blown fuse with a 3 Amp, 125 Volt fuse (provided with the product). This is important to prevent the risk of fire.
6. Close the fuse cover. Slide closed the fuse access cover on top of the current tap. Make sure the door is fully closed and the fuses are completely covered.
7. Do not replace the current tap, as it contains a safety device (fuse) that should not be removed. If the current tap is damaged, discard the product.
Please note that if the replacement fuse blows again, there may be a short-circuit present, and the product should be discarded. Always refer to the user manual for proper instructions and follow the product markings for the correct fuse rating.
