To replace the batteries in the GE Lighting 76988LO 15-in Lighted Lantern, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the lantern is turned off.
2. Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the lantern.
3. Use a screwdriver or coin to open the battery compartment cover.
4. Remove the old batteries from the compartment, making sure to note their orientation.
5. Clean the battery contacts inside the compartment and on the batteries if necessary.
6. Insert two AA batteries into the compartment, following the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated.
7. Close the battery compartment cover securely.
8. The lantern is now ready to be used with the new batteries.
Note: It is recommended to replace all batteries of a set at the same time and to remove the batteries from the product when not in use for an extended period of time.
