To assemble and install the HINKLEY 3266PW Denton Five Light Linear fixture, please follow the steps outlined in the provided manual:
Step 1: Shut off the electrical current before starting the installation. If the fixture you are replacing is controlled by a wall switch, turn the switch off. If not, remove the appropriate fuse or open the circuit breakers until the fixture is dead. Do not restore the current until the new fixture is completely wired and in place.
Step 2: Remove the swivels (C) from the top of the supplied stem.
Step 3: Determine the length of stems required to hang the fixture at the desired height. Slip one set of stems over the supply wire and thread them into coupler (1) at the top of the fixture. Then assemble the matching set of stems and thread them into coupler (2) on the top of the fixture.
Step 4: After the stems are assembled, thread the swivels (C) onto the end of the stems. Slip the supply wire through the center hole of one swivel. Attach the swivel to the canopy using the hex nuts and lockwashers. Attach the lanyard (L) to one of the swivels for later use during installation.
Step 5: Mount the fixture to the ceiling by attaching the mounting bracket (1) to the junction box (J) in the ceiling. Thread the center threaded tube (3) into the center hole of the mounting bracket. With assistance, lift the assembled fixture and hook it into the mounting strap using the hook on the end of the inspection cable. Slowly release the fixture until it is safely hanging from the inspection cable. Make all necessary electrical connections following the provided instruction sheet (IS18). Tuck the wires into the junction box and lift the fixture to slide the threaded tube (3) through the center hole in the canopy. Hold the canopy in position and thread the xxxx (5) onto the end of the threaded tube to secure the fixture to the ceiling.
