To install the Yorkville PSA1RIGKIT Rigging Side Rails on your PSA1 enclosure, follow these steps:
1. Note: If your PSA1 enclosure was manufactured after February 2012, you can skip steps 1-3 as the handles of the enclosure have built-in threading.
2. Remove the amplifier module: Place the PSA1 on a solid flat surface and remove the 14 screws along the edges of the amplifier module. Be cautious of the wire-harness attaching the module to the speakers.
3. Disconnect the wire-harness: Disconnect the wire-harness connecting the amplifier module to the speakers. The connector is located close to the module itself. Set aside the amplifier module and mounting screws in a safe location.
4. Prepare the enclosures for brackets: Position the PSA1 on its side and insert a screwdriver on each xxxx while holding the corresponding hex nut inside the PSA1 with a C-Wrench. The hex nuts can be accessed without removing the foam on the inside of the enclosure.
5. The Array: Ratchet-strap the number of enclosures to be flown on level ground, ensuring they are aligned properly.
6. Position and align the brackets: Mount the left and right brackets on top of each enclosure. The "L" on the left side bracket should be installed on the left side of the speaker facing the front of the cabinet.
7. Install the brackets: Start from the upper-most enclosure and loosely position the brackets in place of the handles. Use the bolts to help with alignment but do not tighten until positioned correctly. Work from highest to lowest in the array. When all brackets are in place and aligned, tighten the nuts and bolts properly.
8. PSA1FRAMEKIT: Once the brackets on the enclosures are in place, the PSA1FRAMEKIT can be mounted to the upper-most enclosure using the portion of the bracket that protrudes. Ensure the groove of the PSA1FRAMEKIT bumper mates perfectly with the top PSA1RIGKIT.
9. Attach the cross-members: Attach the supplied painted cross-members to the PSA1FRAMEKIT on the upper-most enclosure. Make sure the "lip" of the cross-members is facing inwards towards each other.
10. Use shackles for each array: Use a minimum of two ½-inch shackles for each array. The shackles can be mounted on any of the 10 pickup points along the PSA1FRAMEKIT's bumper.
11. Reinstall the amplifier module: Connect the amplifier/speaker connectors carefully and refit each module in the cavities using the original screws.
12. Flying the array: It is recommended to seek the assistance of a professional rigging technician for the installation of the flying array.
