To install the Uolfin 4806474 3-Light Black and Gold Bathroom Vanity Light with Clear Glass Shades, please follow the steps below:
1. Before starting the installation, make sure to turn off the power by going to the main fuse or circuit breaker box in your home. Place the main power switch and wall switch in the "OFF" position.
2. Ensure that the mounting surface is clean, dry, flat, strong enough, and 1/4" larger than the canopy on all sides. Any gaps exceeding 3/16" should be corrected.
3. Check if the ceiling or wall can support the weight of the lamp before installation.
4. Confirm that the voltage you are using is 120V, and the maximum wattage for each bulb is Type B, Max 40W.
5. Keep the lamp away from acidic and alkaline substances to avoid damaging the surface.
6. When replacing bulbs, turn off or unplug the lamp and wait until it is cool, as bulbs can get hot quickly.
Now, let's proceed with the assembly and installation:
Step 1: Unscrew the xxxx nuts (F) from the back plate (E) and set them aside for later installation.
Step 2: Pass the supply wires from the outlet box through the mounting plate (D). Secure the mounting plate (D) to the outlet box using the provided mounting screws (A).
Step 3: Make wire connections according to the provided chart. Twist the wires together with the plastic wire connectors until tightly joined. Wrap each connector with approved electrical tape. Ensure that no wire strands are exposed and carefully tuck all wires into the outlet box.
Step 4: Align the holes in the back plate (E) with the pre-assembled mounting screws and attach the back plate (E) to the mounting plate (D) using the previously removed xxxx nuts (F). Hand tighten until snug. If the back plate is not snug against the wall, adjust the threaded length of the pre-assembled mounting screws on the mounting plate assembly (D) by unscrewing the hex nuts, adjusting the screws, and then tightening the hex nuts.
Step 5: Remove the screws (H) from the sockets (G). Carefully place the glass shades (I) on the sockets (G) and secure them with the screws (H).
Step 6: Install bulbs (not included) into the sockets, ensuring not to exceed the maximum recommended wattage.
Step 7: Double-check that everything is installed properly, and then you can turn on the light and enjoy!
