To install the FABRICATION 2015-2022 Colorado-Canyon Alignment Lockers, follow these steps:
1. Jack up the front of the vehicle and support it with proper jack stands.
2. Remove the front wheels and tires.
3. Start on the passenger side and locate the alignment cams on the lower control arm mounts. Use a marker to trace around the alignment cams.
4. Loosen and remove the passenger side lower control arm bolts and remove them from the vehicle.
5. Make a mark across from the bolt head to the alignment before pressing the alignment cam off the factory bolt. This mark will be used as a reference later.
6. Use a shop press to press the alignment cam off the factory bolt.
7. Slide the new Alignment Locker Cam with the round center hole onto the bolt in the same orientation as the factory cam. Then, slide the Alignment Locker Cam with the notched center hole onto the threaded portion of the bolt in the same orientation as the round hole cam.
8. Align both new cams by rotating the round hole cam so that it aligns with the notched hole cam. Make a reference mark on the cam following the mark on the bolt head.
9. Press the bolt into the alignment cam, ensuring to support the cam closely to the bolt shank to avoid warping.
10. Remove the factory alignment pins on the cross member by knocking them out with a hammer and punch.
11. Drill out the pin holes with the supplied 8.6mm drill bit.
12. Reinstall the bolts and Alignment Locker Cams through the crossmember and lower control arm bushings. Align the slot in the Alignment Locker Cams with the pin holes and loosely install the supplied 9/16 head bolts and lock washers.
13. Rotate the lower control bolts so that the Alignment Locker Cams line up with the reference marks made earlier, and tighten the 9/16 head bolts. Then, tighten the 22mm head lower control arm bolts.
14. Repeat steps 3-9 for each lower control arm bolt, ensuring that the alignment cams' orientation from left to right are opposing.
15. Reinstall the wheels/tires and torque the lug nuts to 140 lb/ft.
Please note that an alignment is recommended anytime after suspension components have been removed and reinstalled.
