To connect a motor to the WPSH207 Motor Drive Expansion Shield, follow these steps:
1. Identify the motor connections on the shield. The shield has terminal block connectors labeled "M1", "M2", "M3", and "M4" for connecting the motors.
2. Determine the voltage requirements of your motor. The shield supports motor voltages from 4.5 VDC to 16 VDC.
3. Connect the positive and negative terminals of your motor to the corresponding terminals on the shield. The positive terminal should be connected to the "+" terminal of the respective motor connector, and the negative terminal should be connected to the "-" terminal.
4. Repeat the above step for each motor you want to connect. The shield can support up to 4 bi-directional DC motors or 2 stepper motors.
5. Ensure that you have separate power connections for the logic and the motors. The shield has separate terminal block connectors labeled "VIN" for motor power and "5V" for logic power. Connect the appropriate power source to each terminal block.
6. Once the motors are connected, you can control them using the digital pins on the shield. Refer to the pin layout section in the manual to understand which pins correspond to which motors.
