To install the Harvia D55-021220 Steam Cabins Glass Door, follow these steps:
1. Wear eye protection and protective gloves during installation.
2. Place a piece of cardboard or similar padding under the door to prevent it from hitting the floor during installation.
3. Measure the width and height of the opening and the door to determine the appropriate size of the glass door.
- For openings with a width of 7 x 19 to 7 x 21, the minimum width required is 700 mm.
- For openings with a width of 8 x 19 to 8 x 21, the minimum width required is 800 mm.
- For openings with a width of 9 x 19 to 9 x 21, the minimum width required is 900 mm.
- For openings with a width of 10 x 19 to 10 x 21, the minimum width required is 1000 mm.
4. Install supports on the sides of the opening, leaving room for wedging on both sides. Use a spirit level to ensure the supports are installed vertically in-line. You can use a straight board as an extension for a short spirit level. Cut and install supports made of wood or similar material under the door.
5. Optional: Install temporary stoppers to the supports to help the door lean on them during installation. This is recommended, especially if you are working alone. Ensure that the stoppers are placed at the same level as the flagging on the wall and the door frame to facilitate the correct installation of cornice strips.
6. Leave a gap of about 10 mm between the top of the frame and the opening. In the sauna, it is recommended to leave a gap of 100-200 mm under the door for ventilation (about 10 mm in other rooms).
7. Lift the glass door into the opening and place wedges next to the bores between the supports. Make sure the wedges are not placed under the bores.
8. Fasten the hinge-side part of the frame to the wall with screws, starting with the topmost xxxx . Then, wedge and fasten the opposite side in the same way. Ensure that the gap between the glass and the frame is equally wide from bottom to top, including above the door.
9. After fastening the frame with screws, check that it is straight and the door opens and closes properly. If necessary, cut off the excess parts of the wedges (saw in a vertical position). Remove supports from under the door and from the bottom edge of the frame.
10. Install the cornice strips and the handle according to the instructions provided in the manual.
11. Optional: If you have the Harvia Aluminium Strip Set (SAZ035, SAZ036, SAZ037, etc.), follow the provided measurements to install it.
