1. Before installation, ensure that all safety distance requirements are met. There should be no electrical devices, wires, or flammable materials within the established safety distances around the stove.
2. Determine the type of flue connection you will be using - either a masonry flue or a Harvia steel chimney.
3. If using a masonry flue, make an opening in the fireproof wall for the flue connection. The opening should be slightly larger than the flue connecting pipe. Round off the inner corners of the flue opening to ensure proper airflow.
4. Attach the flue connection pipe to the rear or upper connection opening of the stove, depending on the model. Ensure a tight fit and seal the connection to the opening in the fireproof wall using fireproof mineral wool.
5. If using a Harvia steel chimney, follow the detailed instructions provided in the steel chimney's installation manual. Connect the steel chimney's smoke pipe to the upper connection opening of the stove.
6. Adjust the stove's adjustable legs to ensure a firm installation on an inclined floor, if necessary.
7. Protect the floor beneath the stove. If the floor is made of concrete, no specific safety measures are required. If the floor is made of tile or inflammable material, use the Harvia protective bedding or similar heat radiation protection.
8. Ensure proper ventilation of the sauna room. For gravity exhaust ventilation, place the fresh air inlet close to the floor near the stove and the outlet near the ceiling. For mechanical exhaust ventilation, place the fresh air inlet above the stove and the outlet below the bench.
9. Once the stove is installed, perform the first heating outdoors to allow the protective paint to vaporize. Remove any leftover paint mechanically with a wire brush and vacuum cleaner.
10. Before using the stove, read the instructions for use and familiarize yourself with the safety precautions and maintenance guidelines.
Please note that these are general installation instructions. For specific details and diagrams, refer to the HARVIA 20 Pro Wooden Sauna Heater Instruction Manual provided with the product.
