Installation:
1. Use a flat-blade tool to remove the cover of the WDAP-W1800AXU.
2. Connect the WDAP-W1800AXU to a PoE switch.
Wired Network Configuration:
1. Connect a computer with a wired Ethernet connection.
2. On Windows 7 or Windows 10/11, click the "Start" button, then go to "Control Panel" and double-click "Network and Sharing Center".
3. Click "Change Adapter Settings" and double-click "Local Area Connection".
4. Select "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and click "Properties".
5. Choose "Use the following IP address" and enter an IP address within the range of 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.252. The default IP address of the WDAP-W1800AXU is 192.168.1.253, and the router is 192.168.1.254.
6. Save the configuration.
Web Management:
1. Launch a web browser and enter the default IP address "https://192.168.1.253".
2. Enter the default username and password "admin" to log in.
3. Follow the setup wizard to configure the AP and select the preferred mode.
Wireless Network Connection:
1. Right-click on the network icon in the system tray.
2. Select the wireless network (SSID) you want to connect to and click "Connect".
3. Enter the encryption key if required.
4. Once the WDAP-W1800AXU is configured, you can connect to it wirelessly using any Wi-Fi device.
AP Discovery through PLANET NMS Controller:
1. Launch a web browser and enter the default IP address "https://192.168.1.100:8888" of the NMS controller.
2. Log in with the default username and password "admin".
3. Go to the "Domain" page to discover and add the managed AP to the device list.
4. Configure pre-defined profiles to the managed AP on the "AP Control -> AP Management" page.
