To clean the ELBA EFS-M2028 Food Steamer, follow these steps:
1. Remove the plug from the wall outlet and let the appliance cool down completely before cleaning.
2. Clean the outside of the product body with a moist cloth. Do not immerse the product body in water or rinse it under the tap.
3. Wash the steamer basket, steamer lid, and drip tray in hot soapy water, rinse, and dry completely. These parts can also be cleaned in a dishwasher.
4. Do not immerse the reservoir in water. Instead, pour warm water into the reservoir, rinse thoroughly, and discard the water. Dry the reservoir with a soft cloth.
5. After using the food steamer for about 2-3 months, it is recommended to descale the reservoir to remove any chemical deposits. Fill the reservoir with a mixture of vinegar and water, plug in the appliance, and set the timer for approximately 20-25 minutes to start steaming. Rinse the reservoir several times with cold water after descaling.
Note: Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning agents, or liquids such as petrol or acetone to clean the appliance. Store the food steamer in a dry location after all parts have cooled down completely.
