To connect the Aim TTi SMU4001 SMU Link Adaptor to the SMUs, you will need to follow these steps:
1. Make sure you have the necessary components from the kit, including the SMU Link Adaptor, two 280mm 10-way ribbon cables, and the instruction leaflet.
2. The Link Adaptor mates with a standard 10W (2 x 5 DIL) female 2.54mm pitch IDC ribbon cable. Ensure that the cable is fitted with the red stripe towards the black dot on the Link Adaptor and Pin 1 on the SMU.
3. Open the connector on the Link Adaptor, insert the cable, and push until the connector fully closes.
4. Repeat the same process for the second SMU, connecting it to the other end of the ribbon cable.
By following these steps, you will be able to connect the Aim TTi SMU4001 SMU Link Adaptor to the SMUs via the DIO terminal ports on the rear panel.
