To set up and connect your KIDDE KN-COP-DP-10YL-AQ-WF Carbon Monoxide Alarm with Indoor Air Quality Monitor to the Kidde app and Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, please follow these steps:
1. Install the Kidde app: Download and install the Kidde app from the App Store or Google Play. Alternatively, you can scan the QR code shown in Step 1 of the Quick Start Guide included with your Wi-Fi device.
2. Create and activate your account: Open the Kidde app and create a new account. Follow the in-app instructions to activate your account.
3. Add the device: Tap on "Add a device" in the Kidde app and select the appropriate Kidde Wi-Fi device.
4. Set up and connect: Follow the in-app steps to set up and connect your Wi-Fi device to the Kidde app.
5. Enable Alexa or Google Assistant integration: After the setup is complete, open the Kidde app and click on "Account." Scroll down to "SMART HOME INTEGRATIONS" and select the toggle button for either Alexa or Google Assistant.
For Amazon Alexa:
- Close the Kidde app and open the Alexa app.
- Click on "More" and then "Skills & games."
- Use the Magnifying Glass to search for "Kidde Alarm" and click on it.
- Click on "Launch" and log in with your Kidde app username and password.
For Google Assistant:
- Install the Google Home app and log in with your Google Account.
- In the Google Home app, tap the + (Add) button and select "Set Up Device."
- Choose "Works With Google" and search for "Kidde Alarm" using the Magnifying Glass.
- Click the link and log in to your Kidde app account, then click OK.
Once you have completed these steps, your KIDDE KN-COP-DP-10YL-AQ-WF Carbon Monoxide Alarm with Indoor Air Quality Monitor will be set up and connected to the Kidde app and your desired voice assistant (either Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant). You can now use voice commands to check the status, carbon monoxide level, battery level, and air quality in the specified room.
