To select the appropriate wash cycle and settings for your laundry load, follow these steps:
1. Open the lid of the washer and load your garments in loose heaps evenly around the basket wall.
2. Use the Wash Cycle xxxx to select the desired cycle for your laundry load. Turn the xxxx to choose the cycle that best fits the type of fabric and level of soil.
3. Use the WASH TEMP button to select the appropriate wash temperature. Choose a temperature based on the garment label instructions and the type of fabric being washed.
4. Use the SOIL LEVEL button to select the appropriate soil level setting. For heavily soiled and sturdy fabrics, choose Heavy Soil Level for more wash time. For lightly soiled and delicate fabrics, choose Light Soil Level for less wash time.
5. If desired, you can add rinse options to the cycle. The Rinse option limits the cycle to one rinse, while the Rinses option automatically adds a second rinse to all wash cycles. If using fabric softener, select the Rinses with Softener option to ensure proper distribution.
6. If you need to pre-soak your laundry to help loosen tough stains, use the PRESOAK option. This will add an extra soak period to any cycle before it begins.
7. Once you have selected the desired cycle and settings, press the Start/Pause button to start the washer.
For more detailed descriptions of each cycle and additional options, refer to the online "Cycle Guide" provided by Whirlpool.
Note: The availability of cycles and options may vary depending on the model of your washer.
