To install your Vodafone cable router, follow these steps:
1. Position your cable router: Place your cable router vertically in a central, elevated location for optimal Wi-Fi range. Avoid placing it near objects that may cause interference, such as baby monitors or large metal objects.
2. Check your cable socket: Determine if your cable socket has 4 or 3 connections (figure A) or 2 connections (figure B). If it has 2 connections, xxxx or plug the multimedia socket adapter onto it.
3. Connect your cable router: Plug one end of the connecting cable into the DATA port of your cable socket or multimedia socket adapter, and the other end into your cable router. Then, plug the power cable into your cable router and the power adapter into an electric socket. If your cable router has a rocker switch, turn it on (I). Wait until the Power and Internet LEDs light up continuously, which may take up to 15 minutes.
4. Connect devices: You can connect devices to your cable router either manually via Wi-Fi, via LAN, or via Wi-Fi through WPS.
- Manually via Wi-Fi: Find the pre-set access data (WLAN-Name and WLAN-Passwort) on your cable router. Open the Wi-Fi settings menu on the device you want to connect, select your network (SSID), and enter the WLAN-Passwort.
- Via LAN: Ensure LAN is activated on your device and connect your computer to the cable router using a network cable.
- Via Wi-Fi through WPS: Check if your device supports WPS. Hold down the WPS button on your cable router until the WPS LED flashes, then activate WPS within 2 minutes on the device you want to connect.
5. Optional: Connect your telephone: If desired, you can connect your telephone directly to your cable router using port TEL 1. It may take up to 10 minutes for your telephone to be activated. If your telephone's connector does not fit, use the RJ11-TAE adapter.
For further settings and configuration, you can access your cable router's settings page by entering http://192.168.0.1 in your internet browser. The password can be found on your cable router or the supplied card.
