To defrost the imprasio IMCF100 Chest Freezer, follow these steps:
1. Unplug the unit and remove the drain plug from the inside of the freezer. This will allow the water to drain out during the defrosting process.
2. Place a tray or container beneath the outer drain plug to catch the water that will be released during defrosting.
3. Rotate the drain dial 180 degrees to allow the water to flow out into the tray. Monitor the container to avoid overflow.
4. Leave the freezer door open to speed up the defrosting process. This will allow the frost to melt away.
5. Wipe the interior of the freezer with a cloth to remove any remaining frost or water.
6. Once the defrosting is complete, push the drain dial back in and replace the drain plug inside the freezer compartment.
7. Plug the unit back into the electrical outlet and reset the temperature control to the desired setting.
It is important to note that defrosting should be done when the ice becomes very thick on the inner liner or as needed. Avoid using sharp metal tools to scrape off frost, as this can damage the evaporator.
