To change the impact force on the Makita DTW701Z Cordless Impact Wrench, you can use the application mode feature. The impact force can be adjusted in four steps: Max (4), Hard (3), Medium (2), and Soft (1).
To change the impact force, press the button on the tool. Each press of the button will change the impact force to the next level. The impact force can be changed within approximately one minute after releasing the switch trigger.
Here is a breakdown of the impact force levels and their purposes:
- Max (4): This mode provides the maximum impact force and speed for tightening with maximum force and speed. It is suitable for applications where high force and speed are desired.
- Hard (3): This mode provides less force and speed than Max mode, making it easier to control. It is suitable for applications where a balance of force and speed is desired.
- Medium (2): This mode is for tightening when a good finishing is needed. It provides a lower impact force for better control.
- Soft (1): This mode provides the least force to avoid xxxx thread breakage. It is suitable for applications where fine adjustment with small diameter bolts is required.
You can check the impact force grade by pulling the switch trigger to the extent that the tool does not operate. The lamps on the switch panel indicate the current impact force level.
