To install the luminii STR-XX-GS-XX Stenos Track System, please follow the instructions provided in the installation guide. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Ensure that the product is installed by a qualified electrician and only use it with a Class 2 power unit.
2. The track system operates at 24 volts DC and is suitable for dry locations only.
3. Do not install the track in damp or wet locations.
4. The track should be installed at least 5 feet above the floor.
5. Keep a minimum distance of 6 inches between any luminaire assembly and curtains or combustible materials.
6. Disconnect the electrical power before adding or changing the configuration of the track.
7. Do not attempt to connect power tools, extension cords, appliances, or other devices to the track.
8. If field cutting is required, slide the power track out of the extrusion, cut the extrusion perpendicular to the cutting surface, trim the power track with hand shears, and slide it back into the extrusion.
9. For long runs of track, it is recommended not to exceed 24ft or 3 track joiners per power feed to minimize voltage drop. Multiple power feeds can be used for longer runs.
10. Mount the track system using the provided mounting brackets, spacing them 4 inches from each end of the fixture(s) and every 24 inches in between.
11. Install the blank endcaps or power feed endcaps as per the instructions provided.
12. For joiners, follow the specific installation method provided in the manual.
13. To convert a joiner to a power feed, follow the steps outlined in the manual using the provided accessory TJ-1-72.
14. Install the modules and covers by aligning and snapping them into the track housing. Ensure a secure connection and proper alignment.
15. The directional modules can be aimed +/-30° by loosening the rotation locking screws and setting the desired angle.
16. The power track contains three copper conductors: a common positive (+) and two separate negatives (-).
17. The ambient and directional modules have asymmetric electrical contact pins, allowing for 2-channel installations for separate lighting zones.
18. If only 1 channel control is desired, the separate negative (-) power feed wires can be tied together when wiring the remote power supply.
Please refer to the complete installation guide for detailed instructions and illustrations.
