To turn on scanning on the JTECH EXTEND Two Way Radios, simply press the key programmed as "Scan." By default, a short press of the S/M key serves as the scan button. Once you press the scan button, the scan icon will display on the radio, indicating that scanning has been activated. The radio will then begin scanning the channels for activity.
