To calibrate the KERN ABJ 120-4NM Analytical Balance, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the balance is properly installed on a stable and level surface.
2. Press the "ON/OFF" button to turn on the balance.
3. Wait for the balance to stabilize and display "0.0000" or "0.00000" on the screen.
4. Open the draft shield and remove any objects from the weighing pan.
5. Press and hold the "CAL" button until the display shows "CAL" followed by a number.
6. Place the calibration weight of the appropriate value on the weighing pan.
7. Release the "CAL" button and wait for the balance to complete the calibration process. The display will show "PASS" if the calibration is successful.
8. Remove the calibration weight from the weighing pan and close the draft shield.
9. The balance is now calibrated and ready for use.
