To mount the Steel Horse Audio ST600 Cruiser Edition Motorcycle Speaker System on your motorcycle, follow these steps:
1. Mount brackets to handlebar: Use the included allen screws to install the brackets on the handlebars in a position that does not obstruct the rider's view. Tighten the clamps to secure them to the bar.
2. Mount the speakers: Remove the nut, flat washer, and lock washer from the speaker stem. Feed the speaker wire through the bracket hole and attach the stem of each speaker to the brackets. Put the lock washer and nut back on through the wire and tighten the speaker to the bracket. Do not over-tighten.
3. Adjust the speaker direction: Loosen the nut on the speaker stem slightly and adjust the speaker up or down to align it with the rider's head. Make sure all screws are securely fastened and tightened.
4. Route speaker wires: Route the speaker wires through the bike's frame to where the amplifier will be installed.
5. Mount the amplifier: Find a suitable location to mount the amplifier, such as a tool compartment, under the seat, fork bag, saddlebag, swing arm bag, or windshield bag. Avoid areas that could cause extreme overheating.
6. Connect amplifier power and mount controller: Connect the yellow power wire from the wire harness to the positive (+) terminal on the battery. Connect the black ground wire from the wire harness to the negative (-) terminal on the battery. Run the blue (w/ white stripe) remote-on wire to a switched power source, such as the headlight or taillight. Mount the remote using the supplied strap mount and connect the remote control wire from the handlebar to the amplifier.
7. Connect speakers to the amplifier: Connect the speaker wires to the corresponding wires on the amplifier. For a 4-speaker system, there are additional connections for the rear speakers.
8. First-time setup: When turning on your system for the first time, the handlebar remote will be in pairing mode. Select "RC-WPAMPBT..." from your Bluetooth device to pair. If the remote is not in pairing mode, hold down the pairing button until the light blinks slowly in blue.
Remember to follow all the steps carefully to ensure proper installation and functionality of the system.
