To set up the Dual CS 329 Fully Automatic Turntable, follow these steps:
1. Platter and belt installation: The turntable comes with the drive belt already fitted around the platter flange. Place the platter on the turntable spindle, rotate it until the cut-out is positioned over the motor pulley, and then pull the drive belt over the motor drive pulley.
2. Tonearm: Remove the coated wire securing the tonearm at the tonearm rest. Ensure that the stylus does not come in contact with the platter mat or any other part of the turntable.
3. Dust cover fitting: Slot both hinges into the housings in the back of the turntable, and then push the dust cover receptacles onto the hinges.
4. Connection to Power Supply: Use the appropriate adapter plug for your country and fit it to the power supply. Plug the power supply into a power socket.
5. Connection to Amplifier: The turntable has a built-in phono pre-amplifier. Connect the RCA cable to the Audio output "AUDIO OUT" at the turntable and the PHONO input sockets at the amplifier. Move the switch to the PHONO position. Connect the ground connection GND with the amplifier to avoid noise.
6. Operating the turntable: To play a record manually, place a record on the turntable, push the speed button for the required setting (33 or 45), raise the tonearm with the lift lever, position it above the first groove on the record, and lower it. To play a record automatically, press the start button after placing the record on the turntable.
7. Speed adjustment: If needed, the turntable speeds can be adjusted with a small screwdriver via two holes in the base plate.
8. Stylus replacement: If the stylus is worn or damaged, remove it by pulling diagonally downwards and insert a new stylus.
