To install the Flint Garden FGF4601WY110VFG 42 Inch LED Chrome Crystal Retractable Ceiling Fan, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the electricity is turned off at the circuit breaker or fuse box before beginning the installation.
2. Make sure all wiring is in accordance with the National Electrical Code and local electrical codes. It is recommended to have the electrical installation performed by a qualified licensed electrician.
3. Mount the fan to an outlet box marked "acceptable for Fan Support of 45kg (99.12 Ibs.) Or Less" using the mounting screws provided with the outlet box. Most outlet boxes used for light fixtures may not be suitable for fan support and may need to be replaced.
4. The outlet box and support structure must be securely mounted and capable of supporting a minimum of 45KGS. Use only UL Listed outlet boxes marked FOR FAN SUPPORT.
5. Ensure that the fan is mounted with a minimum of 7 feet clearance from the trailing edge of the blades to the floor. Avoid placing objects in the path of the blades.
6. When cleaning the fan, use a dry dust cloth or lightly dampened cloth. Do not use water or detergents.
7. After making electrical connections, turn the spliced conductors upward and push them carefully into the outlet box. Spread the wires apart with the grounded conductor and the equipment-grounding conductor on one side of the outlet box.
8. The fan is suitable for indoor use only. Do not use it in high-temperature environments, high radiation environments, lampblack, or other abnormal use environments.
