To install the SCT X4 Performance Programmer on your vehicle, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that your vehicle is turned off and parked safely.
2. Fully open the hood and secure it.
3. Locate the ECU (Engine Control Unit) on the firewall on the passenger's side of the vehicle. It is indicated by a green arrow in the manual.
4. Before moving the gray connector arm, release the locking tab on the ECU connector.
5. Disconnect all three ECU connectors.
Note: It is important to disconnect all three connectors whenever you are installing or uninstalling your tune.
6. Connect the ECU connector provided with the X4 to connection 1 on the ECU and to the SCT Box.
7. Connect the X4 to the SCT box using the OBDII cable.
8. Connect the SCT box to the battery using the battery clamps provided. Install the red clamp to the positive terminal and the black clamp to the negative terminal.
