To install the TRAN LED Linear Fixture Quova Micro using the cove mounting method, please follow the steps below:
1. Pre-drill 1/4" pilot holes every 16" to align with studs, starting with corners and filling in with straight sections.
2. Align the Quova Micro to be level and, if necessary, line it up with the ceiling or soffit.
3. Mount the Quova Micro to the wall using #6 screws (provided by others) every 16" into the studs.
4. Determine the wire feed location and drill a 1/4" hole through the Quova Micro and drywall.
5. If multiple lengths are being used, install the inline bracket. Install the inline bracket in the mounted piece.
6. Follow the instructions of step 1 for the second length.
7. Confirm that both pieces are level and aligned, then mount the second piece. Slide the inline bracket over and tighten the set screws.
8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for additional lengths as needed. Install the endcap on the appropriate side and tighten the set xxxx . Repeat on the other side. Use drywall tape at the joint of the Quova Micro to the wall and underneath.
9. Apply joint compound to the wall and underneath. Allow it to dry.
10. Sand and repeat step 9 as necessary.
11. Once completed, apply primer and paint.
12. Mount the lighting fixture inside the Quova Micro.
13. For the VHB (Very High Bond) tape option, adhere the VHB adhesive, peel the white film back while evenly applying the tape to the mounting side of the fixture. The red side should be visible.
14. Run the wire through the pre-drilled hole back to the power supply or junction box.
