To adjust the temperature in your Maytag W11396865A Bottom-Mount Refrigerator, follow these steps:
1. For refrigerators with electronic controls:
- Press the up or down arrow touch pads to adjust the temperature.
- If the refrigerator is too warm, increase the refrigerator control by one setting.
- If the refrigerator is too cold, decrease the refrigerator control by one setting.
- If the freezer is too warm or there is too little ice, increase the freezer control by one setting.
- If the freezer is too cold, decrease the freezer control by one setting.
2. For refrigerators with digital controls:
- Press the (+) or (-) touch pads to adjust the temperature.
- If the refrigerator is too warm, decrease the refrigerator control by 1°.
- If the refrigerator is too cold, increase the refrigerator control by 1°.
- If the freezer is too warm or there is too little ice, decrease the freezer control by 1°.
- If the freezer is too cold, increase the freezer control by 1°.
Note: It is recommended to wait 24 hours between adjustments for the temperature to stabilize. Also, adjusting the controls to a colder-than-recommended setting will not cool the compartments any faster.
