To change the water filter in your AMANA refrigerator, please follow these steps:
1. Locate the water filter compartment. It is usually located in the upper right corner of the refrigerator compartment.
2. Open the compartment door by pushing the release button or pulling the tab, depending on the model.
3. Remove the old water filter by turning it counterclockwise. You may need to apply some force to unscrew it.
4. Dispose of the old filter properly.
5. Remove the protective cap from the new water filter.
6. Insert the new filter into the compartment and turn it clockwise until it is firmly in place. Make sure it is fully seated and aligned with the arrow on the filter.
7. Close the compartment door.
8. Run water through the dispenser for approximately 3 minutes or until the water runs clear to flush out any air or impurities from the new filter.
9. Reset the water filter status indicator, if applicable, by following the instructions in the Owner's Manual.
It is recommended to replace the water filter every six months or when the indicator light turns on, indicating that it is time for a replacement. Refer to the Owner's Manual for specific instructions and guidelines for your model.
