To connect the Symetrix xIn 4 Dante I-O Expander, follow these steps:
1. Connect your Windows PC to an Ethernet port on a Symetrix Radius, Prism, or Edge unit using a CAT5/6 cable.
2. Power the xIn 4 Dante I-O Expander by connecting the Dante port to a PoE injector or PoE enabled switch port.
3. Daisy chain a CAT5/6 cable from either the LAN port on the PoE injector or from the PoE switch.
4. Ensure that your AC mains voltage is between 100-240 VAC, 50-60 Hz.
5. Install the Composer software on your Windows PC by downloading the software installer from the Symetrix website and following the on-screen instructions.
6. Once the software is installed, use the Locate Hardware dialog in Composer to scan the network and locate the Radius, Prism, or Edge unit.
7. Configure the IP parameters for the Radius, Prism, or Edge unit either through Composer or the front panel interface.
8. Once the Radius, Prism, or Edge unit is located, place the xIn 4 Dante I-O Expander in your Site File and locate it using the Locate Hardware dialog in Composer.
