To install the Hampton Bay YG990-MBK 44 IN Loomis Indoor Ceiling Fan, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the electricity is turned off at the circuit breaker or fuse box before beginning the installation.
2. Make sure that the outlet box and support structure are securely mounted and capable of supporting the weight of the fan.
3. Mount the fan with a minimum clearance of 7 ft from the trailing edge of the blades to the floor.
4. Avoid placing objects in the path of the blades.
5. Clean the fan and fan blades using a dry dust cloth or lightly dampened cloth. Do not use water or detergents.
6. After making electrical connections, ensure that the spliced conductors are turned upward and pushed carefully up into the outlet box.
7. Check and retighten all set screws before installation.
8. Do not use any solid-state fan speed control device with this fan, as it can permanently damage the electronic circuitry.
9. Do not bend the blade arms when installing the brackets, balancing the blades, or cleaning the fan.
10. Do not insert foreign objects between the rotating fan blades.
11. Mount the fan to an outlet box marked acceptable for fan support using the screws provided with the outlet box.
12. This fan is suitable for indoor use only.
