To install the STAHL 246318 Cable Gland for your armoured cable, please follow the steps outlined in the owner's manual:
1. Ensure that the cable gland is suitable for your type of armoured cable, including SWA, braid- and tape-type steel or aluminium armouring.
2. Prepare the cable by removing any outer sheathing or insulation as required.
3. Insert the cable through the cable gland's sealing ring and ensure that the cable's armouring is properly positioned within the multifunctional holder.
4. Tighten the gland's locknut onto the cable gland body to secure the cable in place. Use appropriate tools to achieve the recommended torque values.
5. Check that the flood seal with integral protection is properly positioned and provides a secure seal around the cable.
6. If required, use additional sealing materials, such as SOLO LSF sealing material, to ensure a tight seal between the cable gland and the cable.
7. Mount the cable gland onto the desired location, ensuring that it is securely fastened.
8. Verify that the cable gland provides the required degree of protection (IP66) for your application. Note that IP67 and IP68 mounting may be possible according to the specifications of the manufacturer, CMP.
Please refer to the dimensional drawings in the owner's manual for specific measurements and details regarding the cable gland's dimensions.
