To connect the charger to the network, follow these steps:
1. Download the BG EV Charging app from the Installer Portal on the syncev.co.uk website or scan the QR code provided in the manual.
2. Ensure Bluetooth is active on your device and open the BG_EV_Charging app.
3. Select the Charger ID Code shown on the charger identification label.
4. Enter the default charger password "12345678" (we recommend changing this password during setup).
5. Choose between Wi-Fi, 4G, or LAN connection (only one can be set).
- For Wi-Fi, select the SSID network name and enter the password.
- For LAN, ensure that "LAN DHCP" is enabled.
- For 4G, the setting will have been pre-configured.
6. Set the Server URL to "Home Charge" for home charging or "Commercial" for other purposes.
7. Set the Output Current to the maximum current supported by your installation if it's less than the default 32A.
8. Choose the Charge Mode:
- "APP" for smart charging via the consumer app.
- "Plug and Charge" for non-smart charging.
- "RFID" for RFID authorized charging.
9. If dynamic load management is required, enable Power Distribution and set the sampling method to CT.
10. Set the Maximum Current Limit to the same or less than the main fuse rating if load balancing is needed.
11. Press "Set" to upload the settings to the charger. The charger will beep to confirm.
12. Within 2 minutes, the indicator should turn from Yellow to Blue, indicating a successful network connection. If it remains yellow, power cycle the charger (switch off/on at the fuse board) and reconnect via the app to check the settings.
13. If you're unable to establish a network connection but need to use the charger, change the Charge Mode to "Plug and Charge" and press "SET" again to update the settings.
14. If you're still unable to connect to the network, contact (0330) 311 8388 for further assistance.
