To install and set up the INTELLINET IIS-4G02POE-240W Industrial 4 Port Gigabit Ethernet PoE++ Switch with 2 SFP Ports, please follow these steps:
1. Placement:
- For desktop installation, place the switch on a level surface with at least 25mm (approx. 1 inch) of clearance for ventilation.
- Keep the switch away from sources of electrical noise, such as radios, transmitters, and broadband amplifiers.
- Ensure that the switch is within 100m (approx. 328ft) of the network devices it will be connected to.
- For DIN-rail installation, attach the DIN-rail bracket to the device with screws and push the device onto the DIN rail until it clicks into place.
2. Power:
- Connect the grounding terminal connector located on the side of the power supply connector to an object that provides earth ground.
- If using the terminal block installation method, ensure all power is off/disconnected before beginning.
- Loosen the appropriate screws on the terminal block and insert the positive and negative power supply wires into the corresponding terminals.
- Tighten the screws to secure the wires. Repeat these steps for the second input pair if desired.
- Install the block into the device and tighten the screws.
3. Front Panel:
- The front panel of the switch features LED indicators for various statuses.
- The PWR LED will be green when the power is on and off when the power is off.
- The Link 1-4 LEDs will be yellow when a valid port connection is established and will blink when sending or receiving data.
- The SFP 1 & 2 LEDs will be green when no link is established.
- The PoE 1-4 LEDs will be green when the connected Powered Device (PD) is receiving power and off when no PD is linked.
- Use Cat5e/6/6a/8.x UTP/STP cables for optimal performance.
