To install the Rinnai CHP3PHAUX32A 3HP Auxiliary Relay Box, please follow these steps:
1. Read the entire user manual thoroughly before proceeding with the installation to ensure safe and correct use.
2. Ensure that the installation is done by an authorized person in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions, current AS/NZS 3000 standards, local regulations, and municipal building codes, including local OH&S requirements.
3. Prior to installation, inspect the appliance for any damage or discrepancies. Report any issues to the supplier.
4. Make sure that the premises wiring to the heater can withstand the appliance load. Refer to the specifications table in the manual for load details.
5. Disconnect all power before starting the installation.
6. The 3-phase auxiliary relay box must be directly connected to a 415V AC 50Hz mains power supply. It should be on its own circuit with an isolating switch installed at the switchboard. A secondary isolating switch must also be installed within reach of the relay box.
7. Connect all active, neutral, and earth wires in accordance with the wiring diagram provided in the manual. Ensure that the incoming earth wire is securely fixed to the earth post.
8. Wire terminals "3" and "4" to the heat pump using a minimum 0.75mm2 two-core cable (provided by the installer). The cable length should be less than 10 meters.
9. Connect the power supply to the electric tank as per the electric tank wiring diagram. Normally, each 3-phase auxiliary relay box works with one electric tank.
10. Once the installation is complete, ensure that the appliance is commissioned, serviced, and maintained by an authorized person as per the manufacturer's instructions.
