To connect a turntable with a moving magnet cartridge to the Rega Elex MK4 Integrated Amplifier, you will use the Phono Input 1 on the rear panel of the amplifier. The loading is suitable for most MM cartridge designs on the market.
Here are the steps to connect your turntable:
1. Locate the Phono Input 1 on the rear panel of the amplifier.
2. Connect the RCA cables from the turntable's output to the Phono Input 1 RCA input jacks on the amplifier.
3. If your turntable has a separate ground wire, connect it to the grounding point provided directly below the Phono Input 1 sockets. This is not required for Rega tonearms.
4. Once the connections are made, you can select the Phono Input 1 on the front panel of the amplifier using the Input button. The selected input will illuminate red on the front panel.
