To install and wire the ITC 21030 LED Digital Dimmer, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect power: Before starting any installation or changes, make sure to disconnect the power to avoid any electrical hazards.
2. Account for all parts: Ensure that you have received all the necessary parts and tools needed for installation. Also, remember to dispose of all packing materials properly to prevent any hazards, especially for children.
3. Fuse protection: It is recommended to add fuse protection to the positive (+) input for additional safety.
4. Determine installation location: Decide where you want to install the dimmer and cut a hole measuring 1-3/8" x 2-5/8" at that location. Pull the wiring through the hole.
5. Wire the switch: Refer to the wiring diagram provided in the manual and wire the switch accordingly.
6. Attach the switch: Push the wires and the switch into the hole you cut and use the screws provided to secure it in place.
7. Snap on the cover plate: Take the cover plate and align the top of the plate over the top of the switch. Snap the bottom of the plate in place by pushing it in. This will secure the cover plate onto the switch.
8. Test the switch: Once everything is installed, test the switch to ensure it is functioning correctly. To achieve a smooth dimming level transition, push and hold the switch. The dimmer will maintain the pre-set light level when turned off and return to the same setting when turned on again.
Note: If desired, you can use a standard rectangular open-face plate instead of the provided cover plate.
