To pair the Minigadgets MGWIFIDIY4K WiFi DIY 4K Camera Kit to Wi-Fi, follow these steps:
1. Download the "MiniGadgets" application from the app store on your Android device. You can visit www.minigadgets.com/mgd on your phone or tablet, or scan the QR code provided in the user guide.
2. Power on the camera and wait for 60 seconds for it to start broadcasting its Wi-Fi signal. On your Android device, go to Settings, select Connections, tap Wi-Fi, and choose the Wi-Fi signal that starts with MIG to connect to it. If a message appears on your phone saying 'Internet may not be available, tap here for options', tap the message and choose the 'Stay Connected' option. Do not select 'Switch to Mobile Data' or 'Choose Another Network'.
3. Open the MiniGadgets app. If the app asks for any permissions, make sure to allow everything it is asking for.
4. Press the + icon at the bottom of the screen and choose the option that says 'Add by LAN'. If the app asks for permission to connect to devices on your local network, press 'OK' to allow this. If it says 0 devices found, press the 'Refresh' button in the app.
5. The app should display 'Found 1 Device'. Tap on the long string of numbers and the app will automatically fill in the UID and password fields. You can name the camera whatever you want (e.g., Kitchen, Den). Press the 'OK' button.
6. The camera should now show as 'Online'. Press the gear wheel icon and choose 'Wi-Fi Config'.
7. On the Wi-Fi Config page, you will see a list of networks around you. Select the network for the location where you will be keeping the camera and enter the password for that Wi-Fi network. Press the 'OK' button.
8. A progress circle will appear and say 'Pairing the camera to Wi-Fi' above it. Once the camera is successfully paired to the router, the circle will have a checkmark and say 'The connection is completed'. Press OK to return to the main page, and your camera should be 'Online'. You can now remotely view the camera from anywhere by opening the application and tapping on the camera to enter the Livestream. If you are in an area with poor cellular service, try connecting to a Wi-Fi network if you experience issues with the livestream's capabilities.
