To use the self-cleaning function on the FISHER PAYKEL OB76SPPTX1 oven, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the oven is empty and all racks and accessories have been removed.
2. Close the oven door.
3. Press the "Self Clean" button on the control panel.
4. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to select the desired cleaning duration. The recommended duration is usually displayed in the user guide.
5. Press the "Start" button to begin the self-cleaning cycle.
6. The oven will lock the door and heat up to a very high temperature to burn off food residue.
7. During the self-cleaning cycle, the oven may emit smoke and odors. This is normal.
8. Once the self-cleaning cycle is complete, the oven will cool down and the door will unlock automatically.
9. Open the oven door and wipe away any remaining ash with a damp cloth.
Note: The enamel coated side racks do not need to be removed when using the self-cleaning function.
