To use the self-cleaning function on the FISHER PAYKEL OB60SC6CEPX2 oven, follow these steps:
1. Remove all accessories, including shelves and racks, from the oven.
2. Close the oven door and ensure it is securely locked.
3. Press the "Pyrolytic" button on the control panel.
4. Use the temperature control dial to select the desired cleaning duration. The recommended duration is usually displayed in the user guide.
5. Press the "Start" button to begin the self-cleaning cycle.
6. The oven will heat up to a very high temperature, around 500°C, to burn off any food residue. During this process, the oven door will automatically lock for safety.
7. Once the self-cleaning cycle is complete, the oven will cool down and the door will unlock. It is important to wait until the oven has completely cooled before opening the door.
8. After the oven has cooled, use a damp cloth to wipe away the light ash residue left behind from the self-cleaning process.
Please note that the self-cleaning function should only be used when the oven is heavily soiled, as it operates at high temperatures and may produce smoke and odors. It is recommended to ventilate the kitchen during and after the self-cleaning cycle. Always refer to the user guide for specific instructions and safety precautions for your model.
