According to the instruction manual, it is important to clean the drilled hole before setting the HILTI HIT-MM PLUS Injectable Adhesive Anchor. The recommended cleaning process is as follows:
1. Immediately after drilling the hole with a rotary hammer, clean the hole by blowing it twice to remove dust.
2. Use a wire brush to clean the hole by brushing it twice.
3. Blow the hole twice again to ensure it is free of dust, water, ice, oil/grease, and other contaminants.
It is crucial to ensure that the holes are properly cleaned as inadequate hole cleaning can result in poor load-bearing values.
