To measure the temperature of an object using the CONDTROL IR-T1 Infrared Thermometer, follow these steps:
1. Install/replace batteries: Remove the battery cover and install the provided 1.5V LR6 AA alkaline battery, ensuring correct polarity. Close the battery cover securely.
2. Switch on/off: Short press the trigger to switch on the device. The device will automatically switch off after 30 seconds of inactivity.
3. Set measuring unit: Short press the button to select the desired measuring unit - °C (degrees Celsius) or °F (degree Fahrenheit).
4. Activate laser spot marking (optional): Short press the button to activate the laser spot marking. The laser spot marking is used for aiming and can be switched off when working at a short distance to save battery power.
5. Switch on display backlight (optional): Short press the button to switch on the display backlight. The backlight will automatically switch off after a short period of inactivity.
6. Measurement: Aim the device at the object you want to measure the temperature of and press the trigger. The measurement result will appear on the display. For continuous measurement, long press the trigger. To finish continuous measurement, release the trigger.
7. Emissivity adjustment (optional): The device allows you to adjust the emissivity degree to account for different surfaces. Press and hold the trigger, then long press the button. The emissivity value will start flashing on the display. Adjust the emissivity degree using the buttons and . The emissivity degree will be fixed on the display after 5 seconds.
