To use the Babyliss 2597U Super Smooth Wide Straightener, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that your hair is dry and combed through to remove any tangles. Divide your hair into sections ready for styling.
2. Press the power button (marked with a circle) to turn on the straightener. The indicator light will start flashing, indicating that the appliance is heating up.
3. Use the "HIGH" and "LOW" buttons to select a heat setting suitable for your hair type. The indicator light will flash until the selected temperature has been reached. Once the temperature has been reached, the indicator light will remain solid in color.
4. Place a section of hair between the straightening plates, close to the roots.
5. Hold the hair firmly between the plates and slide down the length of the hair from root to tip in one smooth movement.
6. Repeat this process for each section of hair.
7. Allow your hair to cool before styling.
8. After use, press the power button to switch off the straightener and unplug it from the power source.
9. Allow the appliance to cool down before storing it away.
Note: The straightener has six temperature settings to choose from: 140°C, 160°C, 180°C, 200°C, 220°C, and 235°C. Start with the lowest setting and increase the temperature as needed for your hair type. It is recommended to perform a test on a small section of hair to determine the appropriate temperature.
The straightener also has an automatic shut-off feature. If it is left switched on for more than 72 minutes continuously, it will automatically switch off. To continue using the straightener after this time, simply press the power button to turn it back on.
Remember to use the provided heat protection mat during and after styling. Do not place the hot straightener on any heat-sensitive surface. Allow the straightener to cool down before storing it away.
