To install the DMQ Q13522 Trimless Moon series lighting fixture, please follow the instructions provided in the manual and adhere to local guidelines. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Ensure that the main power is switched off before starting the installation or when changing the bulb to avoid any electrical hazards.
2. Make sure that the ceiling where you plan to install the lighting fixture is not easily damaged or unsteady. It should be capable of supporting the weight of the fixture.
3. Check that all components of the lighting fixture are securely in place and not loose. If any component is loose, tighten it before proceeding with the installation.
4. If you plan to plaster the ceiling after installation, ensure that the trimless frame sticks out of the ceiling by 2-4 mm. The specific stick-out measurement will depend on the thickness of the plaster. Consult with your plasterer to determine the appropriate stick-out measurement. For example, if the plaster will be 3 mm thick, the trimless frame should stick out 3 mm.
5. After plastering, the frame and ceiling should be flush, resulting in a flat surface. If the ceiling is already plastered, stick out the frame by 0 mm and fill the gap between the ceiling and frame with fast-plaster.
